Theodora Sergiou

Theodora has over 25 years of experience in the swimming pool industry; she has been leading the way for women in the pool & spa industry since the age of 16 when she first began learning how to guide, encourage and manage. Her entrepreneur skills began while working after school with her parents, Nicholas & Flora Christofi, who founded Nicholas Pools Inc. Upon their retirement in 2003, Theodora and her husband Sotiris purchased the family business and have strived to grow and improve it. Nicholas Pools, Inc. has blossomed into one of Ocean and Monmouth counties largest backyard retailers, specializing in vinyl liner, in-ground swimming pools, pool restoration, maintenance and service.

Theodora is an Adjunct Professor for The School of Business at Georgian Court University, she is on the Advisory Committee at Brookdale Community College for the Business and Marketing Department. Has been recently appointed to the Saint Photios Foundation Board of Trustees, supports and volunteers for countless charities and fundraisers including working with the Make-A-Wish Foundation to grant children wishes of owning a pool or spa, Chairing the Saint Barbara Church Annual Fashion Show, teaching Sunday School, and various speaking engagements. Theodora has been interviewed and featured in magazines such as Forbes, Industry, Edge, Monmouth Health & Life, Bella, Pool Pro, and Pool & Spa News.

Her enthusiasm, drive and optimism fuel both her own efforts and the efforts of those around her, making her the very picture of a role model. Theodora is excited about her opportunities to inspire young women as an ETTWomen Conference Partner. She explains, "No dream is out of reach if you work towards it with your heart and soul."

In 2014 Theodora was awarded by NJ Monthly Magazine as a Top 25 LWE, in 2015 she was honored as a Woman of Distinction by the Professional Women in Construction. Nicholas Pools has been awarded the 2015 NY Sky Line Award by Smart CEO magazine and the International Award of Excellence by the American Pool and Spa Association.
