Edward P. Cox

Edward "Ned" Cox, born and raised in Jersey City, began his career in the field of Substance Abuse and Rehabilitation working as a Counselor at Patrick House, a multi modality drug and alcohol treatment facility with sites throughout Hudson County.

He was later employed by the NJ Dept. of Health, Division of Addiction Services as a Clinical Director in Jersey City. In 1983, the NJ Dept. of Health removed themselves from direct services and offered their Clinical Directors the opportunity to manage and operate the existing programs as a non-for-profit corporation. On June 24, 1984, Spectrum Health Care, Inc. opened its doors as an outpatient opioid treatment facility and today remains an integral part of the community with Ned Cox at the helm.
