Peg Cafferty

Peg Cafferty is an actress, writer, producer, director, activist, and speaker. She is a passionate storyteller who brings projects from concept through fruition. She is a networker who brings life to any project, from running an Academy Award campaign for INDIA'S DAUGHTER, to planning a concert to save elephants, TUSKFEST for the TUSK Foundation, Peg is a connector who gets the job done.

Peg cares deeply about making the world a better place and embraces change through storytelling through her company Ad Lumen, which means "Towards Enlightenment," her slate reflects this mission.

Peg is passionate about ending violence against women. In addition to running North American distribution and the Academy Award campaign for INDIA'S DAUGHTER, she serves on the board of FSL, and SAVE, a rape center that supports victims, and the advisory board of THE EMPOWER HER NETWORK.

Peg is an Ambassador for Cinema for Peace. She believes that films can heal and hold up mirrors of truth to inspire change.

She is an actress who has appeared in dozens of plays, commercials and films like LADDER 49, FUR, etc.

Peg is a public speaker most passionate about women and girls. Her recent podcast on Forbes Women is top rated. She is a writer most recently published in Forbes Women's "Mentoring Moments".

Peg produces films that matter. She is currently working with John Heminway to produce a film version of his book about Anne Speorry, the first flying doctor in Africa. The book will be published by Knopf in February 2018.

She is also working with Dr. Richard Leakey, the world's most prolific paleoanthropologist, on a documentary around Evolution and The Omega Point.
