Sylvia Perrilloux Clayton

Sylvia Perrilloux Clayton was born in 1945 in New Orleans, Louisiana. She experienced both segregation and integration first hand. She was hired as the first black bank teller for the local town bank in Reserve, LA. She also attended church and school at Our Lady of Grace, which was built specifically for black catholics.

Present day, she is a hostess and songstress at Historic Riverlands Church and Tours.
